The Confucius Institute (CI) at The University of Western Australia (UWA), the first CI to be established in Australia, is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the strengthening of links between China and Western Australia, especially in the areas of Chinese language teaching and learning and cross-cultural awareness (including business culture).
The CI at UWA was officially unveiled on 20 May 2005 and its premises are located at the historic Claremont Campus (former site of the Claremont Teachers’ College).

CI hosted the 11th Chinese Bridge Competition on Saturday, 14 April 2012 from 1pm - 4pm at Kurrajong Lecture Theatre, UWA Claremont Campus.
This 5 week course will start on Tuesday 24 April from 6pm to 7pm in our beautiful Claremont Campus. Suitable for everyone – come and join us!
